As the Physical Science and Pre-Engineering Recruiting Director, Northern Kentucky University, CINSAM, Thomas B Brackman has developed and implemented a program designed to foster and build the interest of high school students (mainly sophomores) in obtaining a degree in the Physical Sciences and/or Pre-Engineering. The program gives students basic information on what they need to succeed in college and attract those students to Northern Kentucky University. Other CINSAM duties include organizing and coordinating the annual Engineer Career Day conducted in conjunction with the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers during National Engineer Week; as well as assisting in development and coordination of the CINSAM summer Engineering camp, Women in Engineering Camp; several sections of forensic science camps and teaching several sections of introductory geology classes.  Mr. Brackman has operated his own construction company, worked as an Environmental and Research Hydrogeologist and Research Scientist. Mr. Brackman received his undergraduate degree in the geological sciences from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Earth Science, with an emphasis in geophysics, from the University of Memphis at the Center for Earthquake Research and Information.
